Hey, everyone! Mr. Deweese (PES music teacher) here to invite you all to welcome Mr. Ben Kowalski as our new band director! Here’s a message from him:

Hi my name is Ben Kowalski and I am so excited to be teaching at Peotone School District this year! I grew up in Ohio for most of my life and moved out to the Chicagoland area to pursue my bachelors in music education at VanderCook College of Music. I am a percussion major who enjoys board games, lifting, theater, and a whole range of other activities (I like to keep myself busy). That’s a wrap on 2023-2024. Congratulations to all the Peotone Band students on a successful year. Good luck especially to our seniors who are moving on!

We accomplished a lot this year across nearly 20 performances. The band program will see a 175% increase in enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year over last year. The students should be extremely proud of the work they’ve done this year, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.
