Thousands of Peorians drive, walk, or bike past Springdale Mausoleum every day—but have you ever wondered what’s behind those large bronze doors? This Memorial Day will be a unique chance to see inside!

At 12:00 & 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 25th there will be FREE guided tours (however donations are always welcome)!

Inside, stained glass windows fill the rooms with a spectrum of color. Walls of gleaming White Alabama marble, pink Tennessee marble floors, and bronze accents adorn the tombs of familiar Peoria names—many with civic ties to Peoria’s past.

We hope you’ll join us on Memorial Day to see firsthand the extraordinary craftsmanship of this beautiful and timeless building!

There are some really cool groupings including many African American Veterans from different wars. Learn some local history!

I met Susie Parr and Tim Hartneck at the Downtown Branch of the PPL to view the awesome historic Veteran's Display put on by the Peoria Historical Society! It looks fantastic

Our meeting yesterday was held at the Creve Club (in the old River Station) along the Illinois River in downtown Peoria! Lots of history inside!

We had a wonderful CILF Events meeting today hosted at the "Gambill Castle" hosted by Blair Gambill and our new CILF supporter Zeus!

We are working on some special events for later this year that will celebrate Peoria Historic Heritage as 2026 is the 50th Anniversary of the CILF Markers Program!
