Looking back serving as a Village Trustee for the Village of Peoria Heights, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside so many dedicated individuals who care deeply about our community.
Since first being elected, one of my top priorities has been supporting our fire department. This department has served the citizens of Peoria Heights for more than a century, and I’ve been committed to helping reposition it—ensuring it can continue its incredible legacy for another 100 years.
We’ve also taken meaningful steps to address critical infrastructure needs. That includes tackling water quality through an unprecedented capital improvement plan and the construction of a new water filtration plant—investments that will benefit our community for generations to come.
When I took office in 2019, the Village had previously eliminated its curb and sidewalk program. Through diligent work alongside Trustee DeVore and Village Administration, we have prioritized restoring this program—building it into a $1.6 million capital allocation with the goal of restarting and reinvesting in our neighborhoods and public spaces.
All of this has been accomplished through a sustainable, conservative approach—one that has not resulted in tax increases for the citizens of Peoria Heights.
I also made a promise to the citizens of Peoria Heights: that we would be mindful of how we spend public dollars. I believe we have a moral obligation to spend responsibly, reduce the burden on taxpayers, and look for every opportunity to limit unnecessary government growth. That has remained a guiding principle in every decision I’ve made. I've voted to reduce Property Tax levies and eliminate regressive grocery taxes.
Beyond board meetings, I’ve been proud to lead and participate in community projects—working alongside residents to clean up neighborhoods, plant gardens, and invest time and effort directly into the place we all call home. I’ve always believed leadership means showing up, rolling up your sleeves, and being present.
I’ve worked to protect property rights, advocate for our residents, and represent the values of hardworking, middle-class families here in Peoria Heights.
This community invested in me, a kid from the subdivision Longshore. Because of that investment, I’ve been able to build a successful life. Where you grow up truly matters—your community helps shape who you become. I am incredibly grateful to have grown up here, and deeply honored that the citizens of Peoria Heights entrusted me with two terms to represent them on the village board.
As I look forward to the last year of my second term, I remain committed to serving this community with the same dedication, integrity, and gratitude that got me here.
Thank you!
