Happy National Donut Day! Let's to the official rules of Donut Strike 4 Manna Food Drive (🗓️: June 24- 26) to remind all our first responders to enjoy a few extra sweets while they can!

After a thorough investigation, our friends at the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office FL have uncovered the truth: donuts are still one of the greatest inventions of all time. The evidence is 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐞-𝐢𝐧𝐠, and the case is officially closed. 🔎

Today, we're celebrating these 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞-𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 treats and encouraging all our first responders gearing up for the Donut Strike 4 Manna Food Drive (🗓️: June 24- 26) to enjoy a few extra sweets while they can. It's 𝐢𝐦-𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲-𝐛𝐥𝐞 not to smile on such a 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 day!

After a thorough investigation, deputies have determined that National Donut Day is, in fact, today. 🍩

While many believe law enforcement’s love of donuts is just a stereotype, it actually has historical roots. Decades ago, donut shops were among the only businesses open all night, making them a popular stop for officers working overnight patrol.

The evidence is clear:

☕ Coffee was available.

🍩 Donuts were available.

🚔 Deputies were working late.

The rest is history.

YOU can fight hunger by donating during the !
That's right, the has 𝐑𝐨𝐋𝐋𝐞𝐃 🤪 back around!

From 🍩 June 24 - 26 🍩, local first responders have vowed not to devour a single donut until thousands of pounds of healthy, non-perishable food have been donated to help hungry neighbors in need in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties!

YOU can help out a 𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐞 lot by following these steps:
𝟏) Check the event schedule at https://www.mannahelps.org/events/donut-strike/ for participating grocer locations, and find the grocer closest to you.
𝟐) June 24 - 26, from 3 - 6 pm daily, go to those grocer locations, where law enforcement and fire rescue heroes will be 𝐒𝐩𝐑𝐢𝐍𝐤𝐋𝐞𝐃 throughout, waiting to collect your donations.
𝟑) Shop Manna's most-needed items list. First responders will have the list for you on your way in.
𝟒) Donate those healthy, nonperishable food items on your way out. First responders can do the heavy lifting!
𝟓) Can't make it to the grocery store June 24 - 26? That's okay! We'd be glad to accept your 𝐝𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 at www.mannahelps.org! Be sure to drop the name of your favorite agency in the "In Honor Of" field.
