"🌀 Do you or someone you care for need extra assistance during an evacuation or while staying in a shelter?

The Florida Special Needs Registry helps local emergency management and health officials plan ahead for residents who may need additional support during a disaster.

This may include individuals who:
🔹 Rely on life-sustaining medical equipment
🔹 Need caregiver assistance
🔹 Have mobility needs
🔹 Have chronic medical conditions that require medication, wound care, or monitoring

Pre-registering helps us better prepare before an emergency happens.

Registration does not automatically qualify someone for a special needs shelter, but it helps local officials provide information about available evacuation and sheltering options. 🏥

Preparedness starts with community. With hurricane season underway, The Arc of the Bay has worked with FPL to deliver hurricane preparedness kits to seniors in our community. Together, we are providing essential food, water and snacks to help them stay ready.
This Saturday we’re handing out over 900 hurricane meal kits from 8am - 11am at The Church at the Beach for any senior over 60. We’re better together…
