Just a friendly reminder the City of Pensacola Parks and Recreation Department we will be closed Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day. Summer Camps and Center will resume on Monday, July 6.

Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, the Splash Pad at Plaza de Luna will not open today as scheduled. Under the directive of Mayor Grover C. Robinson, IV and our local officials, we will evaluate reopening in 3 weeks. The health and safety of our citizens is our top priority. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you.

🚧🔧 The splash pad will be closed Thursday, August 1 due to a water leak within the park's irrigation system. The splash pad and irrigation system are on the same water line therefore when the repair crew is working the splash pad will be inoperable. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to have the repairs completed quickly.

Bad news for those wishing to go to the splash pad today. Unfortunately we have an inoperable sump pump which was discovered this morning so it is currently closed. We believe the pump may have been struck by lightening yesterday during the storms. At the present time we do not have any timeline on repairs. We will update when needed repairs are determined.

Good news: The splash pad is back on today!!

Unfortunately we will need to shut the splash pad down for the next 24 hours due to a f***l accident. This will allow time for the water circulating through the pumps to be cleared of any unsanitary elements. We anticipate reopening Thursday by 11 a.m. We apologize for the inconvenience.
