Shoes are one of the items we always need and gladly accept on a regular basis. Something as simple as a good pair of shoes can provide comfort, dignity, and confidence, and help someone take another step forward on their journey.

We’re so thankful for the employees of Navy Federal who recently collected shoes and socks on behalf of the Mission. 👟❤️

Your generosity helps us care for the men and women we serve each day in a practical and meaningful way! Thank you Navy Federal Credit Union.

We’re incredibly proud of these six men for becoming the first graduating class of the Waterfront Workforce Program at Bishop State Community College! 👏

Over the course of this seven-week program, participants attended four-hour classes Monday through Wednesday with the goal of gaining valuable skills, hands-on training, and industry-recognized certifications that can open doors to real employment opportunities in a high-demand field.

By the end of the program, each participant earned four certifications:
✔️ OSHA 10
✔️ ATSSA Flagger
✔️ NCCER
✔️ Skid Steer Operator

This accomplishment represents more than certifications — it’s confidence, growth, and another step toward long-term stability and life change.

We’re excited to celebrate this milestone and can’t wait for you to hear more about their journey soon on FOX10 News! 🎥

As summer gets closer and temperatures continue to rise, we’re welcoming more guests seeking a safe, cool place to rest and recover from the heat. ☀️

To help care for the additional men and women walking through our doors each day, we’ve put together a list of current needs we would greatly appreciate your help with. Whether you drop items off in person throughout the week or shop directly from our registries online, every donation helps us continue serving our neighbors with dignity and compassion.

1 in 4 people experiencing homelessness has a companion animal. 🐾 For many, that bond can make seeking shelter more complicated.

We're excited to open the doors to Waterfront Mission Pensacola's Pet Kennel this fall. Eliminating this barrier to entry will help more individuals get off the streets and into safe shelter, helping change more lives.

Learn how you can partner with us at WaterfrontMission.org/petkennel.

We are honored to support Waterfront Rescue Mission in their upcoming pet kennel project launching this fall. This incredible initiative will provide a safe place for individuals experiencing homelessness to bring their pets while receiving shelter and recovery services.

We’re proud to support a project that brings comfort, compassion, and hope to both people and pets in our community. Thank you to Waterfront Rescue Mission for the meaningful work you do every day! 🐶🩵

Waterfront Mission is experiencing winter-level numbers in the middle of May. Last night alone, we provided a night of shelter to 230 men and 50 women across our Pensacola and Mobile campuses.

Of those staying with us, 144 men and women are currently in our case-managed rescue and recovery programs- the highest number we have seen in recent years. We believe this growth is happening for a couple of reasons:

-Waterfront continues working to break down barriers that often keep people from seeking help.
-Members of our community are inviting our homeless friends to the mission by handing out Waterfront Tokens.
-Individuals coming to Waterfront are finding a clean, safe environment where their immediate needs can be met.
-Our staff is having intentional conversations with our guests and helping them see a future beyond addiction and homelessness.

Please join us in praying for the men and women walking through our doors, and our staff and volunteers as they continue to serve with the compassion and dignity of Jesus Christ. 🙏

You can also make an impact by shopping our registries for current needs, volunteering your time, or making a direct donation. See how at https://linktr.ee/waterfrontmission. 💙

We recently shared the exciting news that our Pensacola Mission Pet Kennel is now fully funded! 🐾 This dream would not be possible without the incredible support of our community and wonderful donors.

We are especially grateful for the generous $60,000 grants from the Chadbourne-Demaria Foundation and RedRover. Because of this support, we are breaking down another barrier to safe shelter and will be able to open the doors to our kennel this fall. Thank you for helping make this vision a reality!

Watching clients receive the keys to their new homes and begin a fresh chapter is always incredibly rewarding.

Truman came to the Mobile Mission in need of a place to stay after experiencing issues where he was previously living. Through our Work Training Program and partnership with AltaPointe Health, he was able to secure an apartment using his retirement income and take the next step toward independence.

We’re wishing Truman all the best as he begins this new chapter beyond the Mission.
