Catholic Charities is so grateful to St John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Panama City for donating food to our Panama City Food Pantry. These donations are needed and very much appreciated. Your support helps us provide food to our neighbors who don't have enough food for their families. Food is more than a meal — it is hope and dignity for people in need. No family should struggle to put food on the table. However, many of our neighbors across Northwest Florida struggle to provide enough food for their families. YOU can help us provide food to the elderly, single mothers, veterans, and their families, and many more. You can make a gift to support our food assistance program, or you could buy groceries from Amazon food lists and have them delivered to your local food pantry. Sometimes life calls us to walk a different path.
A grandmother was homeless, despite working hard. She cleaned and painted houses to earn a living; however, she struggled financially to afford basic necessities, such as food and rent. She had recently gained custody of her grandchild and had to find a safe home for them. She found a place she could afford; however, she couldn’t afford the deposit and first month’s rent required to move in. She came to Catholic Charities for help. We were able to help her with her move-in expenses so that she and her grandchild had a safe place to call home. Sometimes things beyond your control can change your life circumstances overnight. Are you a new mom who could use some support and guidance? Catholic Charities of Northwest Florida offers free pregnancy and parenting support services. We are here to support pregnant women, new parents, legal guardians, and their families for up to twelve months after the child's birth. Support Services Include: Childbirth Education, Postpartum Support, Parenting Education, Resource Referrals, and an Earn While You Learn Program.
