May is Mental Health Awareness Month — and on May 7th, we put that into ACTION. 💚🙌 Our Community Wellness Fair at NAS Pensacola brought together resources, support, and community because we know the truth: a mission-ready force starts with a mentally healthy one. 29 April – Fleet and Family Support Center, NAS Pensacola staff participate in Denim Day.

Denim Day began after a ruling by the Italian Supreme Court where a r**e conviction was overturned because the justices felt that since the victim was wearing tight jeans she must have helped the person who r**ed her remove her jeans, thereby implying consent. The following day, the women in the Italian Parliament came to work wearing jeans in solidarity with the victim.

FFSC staff wear denim to send the message that we respect and offer our support to survivors of Sexual Assault regardless of what they were wearing.

4/9/26- Naval Air Station Pensacola Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) staff, SAPR victim advocates and Gulf Coast Sexual Assault Program (GCSAP) staff hosted “Chalk the Walk” – a Sexual Assault and Prevention Month Awareness Event – on board Naval Air Station Pensacola. Military members took to the sidewalks to write messages of support to sexual assault survivors. The Department of War recognizes April as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, calling on everyone to “STEP FORWARD. Prevent. Report. Advocate.”
