This afternoon at 3:05pm, the Pennsboro, Ellenboro, & Harrisville VFDs were toned for a brush fire with exposures off of Rt 74 near Mountain. Engine 12, Unit 13 & UTV 17 responded with 5 personnel. A two acre area near an oil well was discovered mostly burned out upon arrival. The rest of the fire was quickly extinguished. The fire originated from a brush pile that had burned several days earlier during the proper burning hours, but had apparently not burned out completely.

While there was no wrongdoing here, we would like to remind everyone of the current burn laws. Please be cautious of your surroundings and the wind.

Units 10 and 15 responded with five personnel and discovered one vehicle in the guardrail with no apparent injuries. All units remained on scene until the vehicle was recovered by TC Repair, then returned to service around 11:50am.

At 3:18pm, Pennsboro, Harrisville & Ellenboro were all alerted for a structure fire on Lynn Camp Rd. Units 10, 12, 14, and 16 responded with 12 total personnel. The fire was located in a detached garage and the homeowner was able to extinguish it before units arrived on scene. Once extinguishment was verified, all units returned to station.

All responding units picked up a decent amount of mud while responding to the fire. The firemen took time to wash the trucks before putting them back in the station.
