Tower 8 operating at multiple working residential structure fires over this past weekend. On Saturday night the Tower arrived first in on Washington Ave. in William Penn Fire Company’s first due and had a 2.5 story twin with fire showing. The Tower operated as the first due special service completing various tasks on the fire ground. The Tower was on the streets again Sunday afternoon heading to Bensalem for a house fire on Moore Ave. First in units from the Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department had a 1.5 story single family with smoke showing. The Tower arrived as the 3rd in special service and assisted with search’s along with extensive overhaul before retuning to town a couple hours later.

Rescue 8 on scene this afternoon along the SB lanes of Route 1 at the West Interchange for a multi vehicle accident with one trapped in a tractor trailer. E-244, R8 and R9 along with E7 went in service and quickly completed the extrication.

Tower 8 on scene a short time ago assisting units from Bensalem Township with a working residential structure fire. The Tower arrived as the working fire Truck Co. and assisted the first in companies with various tasks before being released by command.

Tower 8 operating as the first due Truck Co. for a fire involving a shed and a boat with exposures to a building. First in companies from the William Penn Fire Company secured a water supply and stretched accordingly while DC 77 established command. The Tower arrived and competed various tasks before being released by command.

This morning members from Station 8 along with several members from the Parkland Fire Company trained on man in machine type incidents. After a quick class room session several different scenarios where completed using various types of tool and equipment.

Tower and Rescue 8 along with Assistant 8 and the Special Service on scene yesterday at the Silver Lake Nursing Home explosion and fire. The Tower (due on the initial dispatch) positioned on Side D and assisted with removing numerous patients from the building with the bucket before going in service the with the waterway for fire suppression. The Rescue arrived a short time later and assisted with rescue efforts. The company remained in service at the scene for over 9 hours before returning to town.

Rescue 8 on scene this morning in Langhorne Manor at East Park Ave and Bellevue for an auto extrication. E-244 arrived with a dump truck vs. a vehicle with one entrapped. Rescue 8 arrived and went in service with the front winch to pull the vehicle away from the truck to allow for access to the drivers side for extrication. Engine 244 and the Rescue completed the extrication quickly and patient was turned over to Medic 168.

Engine and Tower 8 on-scene this morning on West Woodland Ave. in the first due for a working house fire. Crews encountered a well advanced fire in 2.5 story ballon frame dwelling and went inservice accordingly. Thanks to all the mutual aid companies that assisted us this morning!
