With deep sadness we announce we will not open this season.

Thank you Quarry patrons for allowing me to serve you for the last 10 years. There are many things I wanted to do and couldn’t, but I certainly tried.

That’s a wrap on the 2024 season. Giant thank you to our staff Jack, Andrew, Makayla, David, and Crew. Thank you to our amazing patrons, both long time enthusiasts and new found friends. Big love to our silent chainsaw resource Chris Parsons.

Eternal gratitude to my husband for all he does to support The Quarry and the encouragement he gives me to keep putting in the effort when I want to give up.

We hope we are able to provide swimming in the beautiful and healing waters of The Quarry again next year.

Have a safe year, spend as much time in nature as possible, volunteer your time to a cause you love, and be a good human to all you encounter.

Life is right in any case, and my heart is as open as the sky.

We’re gonna run this play two more times folks, today and tomorrow, then we are closed to the public for the season.

This is the time in the summer when I question my sanity in giving so much of my UNPAID time to make this place run for the public. So, ya’all better act right this weekend because I will NOT hesitate to call you out if you’re acting like a jabroni.

CLOSED ON 8.17 and 8.18:
We will be closed this weekend due to light staffing, but anticipate running our FINAL pop-up swim of the season on 8.24 and 8.25. This part of the season is always challenging for us as students return to school activities!

Update WE WILL BE CLOSED ON 8.10 and 8.11:
While the fence needs repaired and there is still some clean-up to do, the trees were removed by our two most dedicated maintenance volunteers Aaron and Chris.

Huge thanks to them both for their diligence and quick action! I would tag Parsons, but I feel like he lurks in the shadows, and I can’t find him 🤷🏼‍♀️

WE WILL NOT OPEN 8.10 and 8.11:
We have received potentially season ending damage from yesterdays storm. Two large trees down, one blocking the exit drive, and one that damaged the deep end fence.

The tree damaging the deep end fence has long been a fear of mine. Sigh. We will keep you posted on removal. Helpful help is welcome. Suggestions should be accompanied by a willingness to act and assist, thank you.

It came to my attention that homophobic slurs were being used at The Quarry today.

Allow me to be crystal clear. The use of homophonic or racial slurs will get you BANNED FOR LIFE from The Quarry.

You will not receive a warning. You will be immediately kicked out, and banned.

We are an inclusive environment with ZERO tolerance for hate speech.

I will be reinforcing this for the rest of the season.

Reminder, if we fill up, we will call capacity and turn people away.

-No Pets (do not bring your dog and leave it in the car)

-All who enter pay the appropriate day rate. Like all other public swimming parks and pools there is NO FREE ENTRY.

We are staffed to be open on 8/3 and 8/4. Join us for a swim in the refreshing and clean water of The Quarry.

We are frequently asked, is the water clean? We are very proud of our clean water. Our water is tested multiple times per summer by Summit County Public Health. Health departments post their water quality through a program called "Beachguard". Water quality is determined by the number of E. Coli detected in the water. You can have up to 250 E. Coli parts per million before you have to post a warning. Our highest number in the last few years was 45, but we routinely receive water quality reports that are under 20 parts per million.
