Valley Fire responded to a fully involved structure fire this morning at 5549 Akron-Cleveland Rd.
The fire destroyed the entire building and crews were on scene most of the morning mopping up hot spots after the main body of fire was extinguished. Valley Fire received assistance fighting the fire from: Hudson Fire, Macedonia Fire, Stow Fire, Richfield Fire and Bath Fire.
We would like to thank them very much for their help. This building is in an area of the district that does not have fire hydrants. Several of the assisting Fire Departments sent water tankers which hauled water to the scene and supplied the fire trucks extinguishing the fire.

Valley Fire Divers conducted Night Dive Training last night at Indigo Lake to sharpen skills in low light/ no light diving conditions.

Valley Fire conducted Swift Water Rescue training this week. Swift Water Technicians practiced in water skills to get ready for the busy summer season on the Cuyahoga River.
