Notice to the Community:

The Snow Creek Volunteer Fire Department has allowed the County to temporarily place garbage dumpsters on our property while renovations are being completed at the new dump site.

We kindly ask everyone using the dumpsters to please be respectful of our property by cleaning up any mess you may make.

Additionally, please drive slowly when entering and leaving the property, as both career and volunteer staff are actively using the facilities.

Town of Rocky Mount property owners there’s no open burning year round without a permit from the Town Fire Marshal’s office. The spring state law law starting today applies to all county properties through April 30th.

In Fire-EMS you get to meet and assist a lot of different people. Today we were able to meet and assist the Trinity University, NCAA Runner Up, Men’s Soccer Team from San Antonio, Texas. These young men were traveling in a tour bus that slid off the roadway. We were able to safely transport each of them back to our station in order to get the tour bus off the mountain and back down to safety. Once the tour bus was in our parking lot, they loaded up and continued their travels. Thank you to everyone that assisted on this incident.
