On Friday, June 5, 2026, at approximately 10:37 a.m., the Webster Fire Department responded to a house fire at 180 Cranbrook Terrace in Webster, NY. A working fire was declared, prompting immediate mutual aid from the West Webster Fire Department and Lincoln Fire Rescue.

Arriving crews found heavy fire in the home's attached garage. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to the living area and a neighboring residence.

The Webster Fire Department received assistance from the Monroe County Fire Bureau, Webster Police Department, and Penfield Webster EMS. Due to the incident's manpower demands, a second alarm was requested, bringing additional firefighters from Penfield, NY Fire Company and Ontario Fire Company . District coverage was provided by the Irondequoit Fire District and Fairport Fire Department while Webster crews were involved in the response.

The fire was brought under control in roughly 35 minutes. No injuries were reported among homeowners or responding firefighters. Crews remained on scene for about two hours to conduct overhaul operations, extinguish hotspots, and investigate the cause of the fire.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

On Thursday, June 4, 2026, at about 10:55 a.m., the Webster Fire Department responded to a report of a house fire at 1640 Harris Road in Webster, NY. The Penfield, NY Fire Company, West Webster Fire Department, and Lincoln Fire Rescue also assisted at the scene.

When the first crews arrived, they found a large single-family home at the end of a long private driveway with heavy fire visible in the garage, spreading into the living areas. Firefighters quickly began to fight the fire and brought it under control. The fire was fully extinguished within about 40 minutes.

Due to the hot weather and challenges accessing the property, support was requested from Ontario Fire Company and Fairport Fire Department. The Monroe County Fire Bureau, Monroe County Sheriff's Office, and Penfield Webster EMS also provided assistance on scene.

Fire crews remained at the property for about three and a half hours to investigate the fire and put out any remaining hot spots.

The homeowner was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. No firefighters were injured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

June is a great time to brush up on water safety as pools, lakes, and boating season start picking up ☀️

Drowning can happen quickly and quietly, even with other people nearby. Staying alert around the water, wearing life jackets, avoiding distractions, and knowing your limits can help prevent emergencies before they happen.

Every day in EMS, we meet veterans with incredible stories, sacrifices, and strength. Some are our patients. Some are our coworkers. Some are our friends and family.

This Memorial Day, we remember those who never made it home and honor the lives they gave in service to our country. 🇺🇸 No amount of thanks could ever add up to their sacrifice.

From all of us at Penfield Webster EMS, we wish everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day. ❤️

24/7. Rain or shine. Holidays, nights, weekends, and everything in between.

We thank our crews, as well as EMS providers near and far, for their dedication to the people and communities they serve.

It’s often said that it takes a special kind of person to work as a first responder, and Pen Web EMS might be a little biased, but we believe we have some of the most hardworking and compassionate EMTs and paramedics out there.

Made up of full-time, part-time, and volunteer staff, our crews continue to show up for this community every single day.

Happy EMS Week 🚑
