Pendleton is on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway and Farm Road 1237, six miles northwest of Temple in northern Bell County. This FB Page is for Pendleton area residents to share knowledge of our community by commenting on water leaks, boil order (start & stop), road conditions, history, crime alerts, or promotion of any other issue. Since technology is so much better now, we should take a
dvantage of it. The best examples I've seen on FB is Oenaville Texas, and East Bell WSC, as they update &/or comment on a regular basis. Other systems for instant notification of area issues are constant contact or a manuel email group, twitter, a website, phone calling software, etc. With satelite television now for rural cable, many people seldom, or never watch local channels for local news.
