In honor of Juneteenth, we thought it would be a great opportunity to feature a special piece of our shared history.

Some places are remembered for what they were; others are remembered for how they made people feel. In Pendleton, the Keese Barn is both.

Experience the story of the Keese Barn: a historic landmark of resilience and unity. Built by Ben Keese as a sanctuary of connection known as "The Hundreds," this space is being revitalized as the cultural heart of the new heritage park. We are creating a living space that unites us all.
