Proud to join my colleagues in voting YES on the Environmental Bond Bill (House Bill 5510) to secure critical investments for our commonwealth's future.

I am committed to working hard to protect our coastline, improve water infrastructure, and support local ecosystems. I fought hard to significantly increase funding for grant programs targeting PFAS remediation and clean drinking water.

While not every policy initiative made it into the final version of the bill, I was proud to co-sponsor and support a handful of crucial amendments aimed at making this legislation stronger. This included supporting Amendment 10 to safeguard local wildlife by limiting toxic rodenticides. Amendment 60 to establish strong local approval and safety buffer zones for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
I also co-sponsored Amendment 376 to review beach management guidelines and increase access to Duxbury Beach.

Though these specific policy pushes did not make the final cut, I am incredibly proud to vote for a final bill that successfully boosts funding for statewide PFAS remediation, repeals the ban on Sunday hunting, protects coastal infrastructure, and champions vital environmental causes across Massachusetts. This is a massive step forward for our climate resilience, and I will keep pushing to ensure our district gets the resources it deserves as this moves forward.

I am thrilled to share the official numbers from MassDOT regarding the $80 million Winter Road Recovery Funding coming back to our communities from the Fair Share supplemental budget (House Bill 5470).

As a member of the conference committee, I was happy to support the report that included the 80 million for winter road recovery.

Our towns were hit incredibly hard this past season, and these dollars are going to go a long way in repairing our streets, fixing potholes, and offsetting costs incurred during the harsh winter.

Here is exactly how these official state dollars break down:
Duxbury: $274,097.74 Pembroke: $251,668.79
Hanson: $160,050.97
Halifax: $137,878.27
Marshfield: $349,464.82

The legislation also establishes an additional $20 million reserve for communities that experienced extraordinary winter weather impacts during the winter of 2026, and I will be sure to share that information once it comes out.
