It is important to note that only 6 firefighters are able to respond to every emergency in town. And 2 members are required for each medical transport.

Today members of 2351 along with Firefighters from across the state, country and even Canada gathered for the funeral of Boston Firefighters Robert BK Kilduff Jr. Firefighter Kilduff was killed in the line of duty during a 3 alarm fire, on the evening of May 23, 2026.

Last night at a fire in Dorchester, a Boston Firefighter lost his life. BK as he was known around the state was by all accounts a Firefighters Fireman, someone you would want on your crew. The members of Local 2351 stand with his family and the members of L718 in mourning the loss of Bob Kilduff, BFD R2.

Our thoughts and prayers with The MFA employee who was injured today. Local 2351 thinking of his family and members of Chelmsford Local 1839.

This morning, a member of our Crib Support team was seriously injured after a fall at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy's Stow campus. We are deeply grateful to all the staff who took immediate action to provide medical aid and notified 9-1-1, and to Stow and Sudbury first responders. We ask that you please spare a thought and a prayer for him, his family, and his brother and sister firefighters.
