We extend our gratitude to everyone who supported our car wash and hotdog sale on Saturday. The event drew a large crowd, and the pleasant weather allowed us to connect with both long-time and new customers. I would like to express my appreciation to the ladies and men who assisted in the backend and frontend operations, your help was indispensable. Additionally, I want to thank the firefighters who were present and provided assistance, their support was invaluable. Special thanks to Mayor Dana Munsey for consistently lending a hand to the team during the car wash. Once again, we appreciate your continued support for our local volunteer fire department. 🔥🧯🚒

The fire department will be hosting a hot dog sale and car wash event this Saturday, June 13th, commencing at 11:00. Proceeds generated will contribute towards acquiring new turnout gear for our firefighters, enhancing equipment for our trucks, maintenance, and supporting day-to-day operations. We appreciate the support of our community and look forward to seeing you there.

Our heartfelt condolences go to the family of Logan Utt. His commitment to serving the community with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and Cana Volunteer Fire Department is truly appreciated. The Pembroke Vol. Fire Department, Pembroke PD, and Giles Lifesaving and Rescue Squad had the honor of inspiring the next generation of heroes as they welcomed groups of children from Eastern Elementary Middle School to explore their fire trucks, police car, and ambulance. With enthusiasm and expertise, they shared valuable lessons on the importance of safety and the role of police officers, firefighters, and ambulance operators. The highlight of the experience was when the children got to try on firefighters' uniforms and sound the sirens 🚨, leaving an indelible mark on their young hearts. As these young minds grow, they will become the heroes of tomorrow, and for now, let's cherish their youthful energy and curiosity.
