Fire Flow Test Notification – Corner of Center Street and Mattakeesett Street

A fire flow test will be conducted at the corner of Center Street and Mattakeesett Street on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, beginning at 9:00 PM.

The test will be conducted for a short period that evening.
During this time, residents in the area may experience:
• Discolored water
• Low water pressure
• Temporary loss of water service

Please take the following precautions:
• Avoid doing laundry during the testing period to prevent fabric staining.
• Check water clarity before using water for laundry or food preparation.

If you experience water discoloration, you can clear your water lines by:
Running the outside faucet nearest your water meter.
Letting the water run slowly for 20 to 30 minutes.
If the water remains discolored, wait one hour and repeat the process.
The Water Division will make every effort to minimize inconvenience. Please note that this testing is part of a routine maintenance program required by the State Department of Environmental Protection. The Water Division is not responsible for any damage that may occur as a result of the testing process.

The Town of Pembroke has hired K&K Excavation Company, Inc. to complete water service repairs on Oak Street on Wednesday, June 10, and Thursday, June 11, beginning at 7:00 a.m.

All affected residents and businesses will be notified with hand-delivered notices.

Access through the work area will be maintained for essential vehicles, and residents will have access to their driveways. Businesses in the area will remain open.

To complete this work, residents and businesses on Oak Street may experience a temporary interruption in water service on Thursday, June 11, after 9:00 p.m.

During this time, residents in the affected area may experience:
• Discolored water
• Low water pressure
• Temporary loss of water service

After the repairs are completed, if you experience discolored water, please flush your water lines by turning on the outdoor faucet closest to your water meter. If an outdoor faucet is not available, slowly run cold water from your kitchen sink for 20–30 minutes.

Turn the water off, wait approximately one hour, and repeat the process if necessary.

Please check your water before doing laundry and refrain from washing clothes until the water runs clear.

This Draft Resilient Local Food System Action Plan for the Plymouth County Area reflects the combined efforts of community members, stakeholders, municipal officials, partner organizations, and project advisors who have shared their knowledge, experiences, and ideas during the planning process.

Everyone is invited to provide feedback on this plan's findings and recommendations. Your comments will help ensure the final plan reflects local needs and perspectives. All comments will be reviewed by the project team, and responses will be included in the final plan.

• In-person presentation, Plymouth, MA — Monday, June 22, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Plymouth Town Hall, Great Hall, 26 Court Street, Plymouth, MA 02360.
• In-person presentation, Brockton, MA — Tuesday, June 23, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Brockton Public Library, Main Branch, Driscoll Art Gallery (2nd Floor), 304 Main Street, Brockton, MA 02301.

Each in-person event will include complimentary food and refreshments. To encourage broad participation, the first thirty adults to attend each in-person event will receive a $50 gift card, and all attendees will be entered into a raffle for a local food basket valued at $100.
