🎃👻 A SPOOKTACULAR TIME WITH OUR BRYAN COUNTY SENIORS! 🍬🎃

Our Bryan County Senior Services participants got into the Halloween spirit yesterday with their Annual Halloween Party, filled with laughter, delicious treats, and plenty of spooky fun! 🧡

From hilarious games like applying makeup while blindfolded to picking up candy with vampire teeth and chopsticks, our seniors enjoyed a day full of fun and friendly competition! 🧛‍♂️🧙‍♀️

🍬 The celebration was extra special this year! Our seniors joined in the community fun by handing out candy to local daycare children as they made their annual Halloween hayride stops at area businesses and agencies.

Shaping the future of Bryan County through Planning 🏗️🏡

Each October, the American Planning Association recognizes National Community Planning Month, highlighting the important role planning plays in shaping strong, thoughtful, and connected communities.

As the month comes to a close, Bryan County is proud to recognize the work of our Community Development Department and Planning and Zoning Commission for the role they play in helping guide the growth and development of our county.

From reviewing plans and zoning matters to supporting long-term goals, transportation needs, infrastructure, and future development, planning helps connect the decisions we make today with the Bryan County we are building for tomorrow.

Good planning works best when the community is part of the conversation. Residents can stay engaged by attending public meetings, following Planning and Zoning Commission items, and learning more about the projects in planning that is underway.

Thank you to our Community Development team and the members of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the time, knowledge, and care they bring to this work throughout the year, and thank you to the residents who stay informed and engaged in Bryan County’s future.

🚒 New Gear to Help Protect Bryan County Firefighters!

Bryan County Fire & Rescue has received 10 new sets of bunker gear valued at $39,760 through a grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation!

This protective equipment helps shield firefighters from heat and other hazards as they respond to emergencies and serve our community.

Our team joined Screven County Fire Department, Liberty County Fire Rescue and Pooler Fire Rescue for a celebration at the Pooler Firehouse Subs. Together, the four departments received nearly $150,000 in grants for lifesaving equipment.

Thank you to the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and the customers and donors who make these grants possible. Your support helps protect the firefighters who work every day to protect us. ❤️

Regina may be a little shy at first, but it only takes a few gentle pets before she turns into a total puddle of kitty love. Once she warms up, she’s ready to soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. 💚

This sweet girl loves feline friends, canned food, and scratch pads—she knows how to enjoy the good life! She just needs someone willing to give her a little time to settle in and show her sweet side.

🚨 National First Responders Day 🚨

When someone calls for help, they may be facing one of the most difficult moments of their life. Our first responders answer that call with courage, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to serving others.

Today, Bryan County proudly recognizes the dedicated men and women of our Sheriff's Office, Fire & Rescue, Emergency Medical Services, E911, Emergency Management, and all those who serve on the front lines.

Behind every emergency response are countless hours of training, time away from family, and a commitment to protecting our community, often at great personal sacrifice.

To our first responders and the families who stand behind them: "Thank you for your service, your dedication, and the sacrifices you make every day."

Your courage and commitment help keep Bryan County safe.

❤️🤍💙 "Thank you for answering the call!"
