Pembroke Library, Giles County, Va Lending library for all ages The Pembroke Library in Pembroke, Virginia is the smallest lending library in Virginia.

The library has been operated by the Pembroke Women's Club since 1975. The library building was constructed in 1881. The building embodies small-town charm and has in the past served the town as a post office, stagecoach stop, and doctor's and lawyer's offices. The library hosts weekly summer programs for area children and numerous other programs for children and adults throughout the year. A community garden is maintained behind the library and provides fresh produce free to the public.
