Friday night was one to remember. We celebrated, we listened, and we honored what Juneteenth stands for. Thank you to our guest speakers and performers - including Dr. Tameka Bradley Hobbs, the Deep Fried Funk Band, and the Sankofa Museum - as well as the vendors, staff, and everyone who spent the evening with us!

Due to wildfire activity in Miami-Dade, the Florida Department of Transportation is temporarily closing roadways that may impact traffic in Broward.

ADVISORY FROM FDOT District 6 -

🚧 All northbound and southbound lanes of S.R. 977/Krome Avenue/SW 177 Avenue between U.S. 41/S.R. 90/Tamiami Trail and U.S. 27/SR 25/Okeechobee Road remain closed.

🚧 All southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike between NW 41 Street/Doral Boulevard and U.S. 27/S.R. 25/Okeechobee Road are closed.

Travelers are urged to use the following detour routes or find an alternate route.

👉 S.R. 977/Krome Avenue/SW 177 Avenue between U.S. 41/S.R. 90/Tamiami Trail and U.S. 27/S.R. 25/Okeechobee Road Detours:

Northbound:
* Head east along U.S. 41/S.R. 90/Tamiami Trail to SW 107 Avenue
* Head north on SW 107 Avenue to Beacon Station Boulevard/NW 106 Street
* Head east on Beacon Station Boulevard/SW 106 Street to U.S. 27/S.R. 25/Okeechobee Road

PUBLIC OUTREACH MEETING - Vulnerability Assessment Project

Pursuant to Florida Statute 286.011, notice is hereby given that there will be a Public Outreach Meeting at which one or more City Commissioners may be present.

The purpose of this first public outreach meeting is to provide the Pembroke Pines residents an opportunity to learn about the Vulnerability Assessment project and to provide input on preferred methodologies, data for analyzing potential sea level rise impacts and/or flooding, guiding factors to consider, and critical assets important to the community.
