‼️‼️Traffic Notice‼️‼️

UPDATE: 4:00 am roadway clear and opened!

UPDATE: 1:30 am truck is here to do the liquid transfer from the wrecked truck.

Cook Springs Rd is closed between Hwy 78 and the tunnel for an undetermined amount of time due to an over turned tanker truck.
Waiting on another truck to come and offload the liquids from the wrecked truck into another truck.

Traffic Alert ⚠️: Due to resurfacing of I20 WB near Exit 153. The WB ON ramp @153 is closed and both on and off ramp of the 152 will be closed for the night.

Traffic Alert: I20 WB Near the 153. Resurfacing is taking place the Right 2 lanes are closed.

THE ON & OFF RAMP OF THE 153 WB IS CLOSED

Roadway will open back up between 5 AM and 7 AM on 8/6

🌞 HEAT ADVISORY 🌞
Cook Springs Fire Department wants everyone to stay safe during the extreme heat.

🌡️ Heat Safety Tips: • Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty. • Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day (10 AM–6 PM). • Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing. • Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning. • Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle—even for a few minutes. • Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and anyone without reliable air conditioning.

⚠️ Know the signs of heat-related illness:

🚑 Heat Exhaustion: Heavy sweating, dizziness, nausea, weakness, cool clammy skin.

🚨 Heat Stroke: High body temperature, confusion, loss of consciousness, hot dry skin.

Call 911 immediately if you suspect someone is experiencing heat stroke.
Stay cool, stay hydrated, and look out for one another. Your safety is our priority.
