Update:
According to SAMHSA, girls ages 12-17 are at higher risk for alcohol and drug abuse. Studies show that girls use alcohol and drugs as a means to reduce stress and cope with problems. They are likely to start treatment at an earlier age than their counterparts. Girls are also more likely than boys to have co-occurring disorders. They report alcohol and inhalants as their primary drug of choice.

Great News:
We have been offline for a bit but not without working hard behind the scene preparing.

Chinyere House has acquired a new site for treatment. There is still a lot of work ahead of us but we are encouraged and humbled by the out-pouring of support and love from the community. We are excited and looking forward to providing this much needed service to our most vulnerable population, our youth. In the next coming months we will be preparing a for our annual fundraiser.
