Alabama's new abstinence-only education legislation goes into effect October 1st. Schools are concerned about whether the content outside educators bring into the classroom will be in compliance. But what does the law really require? Can we ensure that students get the healthy relationship and s*xual assault prevention education they need while adhering to the new requirements? SafeHouse was proud to partner with H.O.P.E. for their first annual 5K, Running for Survivors, held at Veterans Park in Alabaster! It was a great opportunity for our community to stand together in support of survivors of domestic violence, s*xual assault and s*x trafficking.

This event helped to bring awareness to the resources and services in our community while strengthening partnerships among organizations committed to helping individuals and families in need💜

✨THANK YOU for making Brews, Brains & Bids a HUGE SUCCESS! ✨

What an incredible night! A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for Brews, Brains & Bids on Saturday, August 29! 🎉

We are thrilled to share that we EXCEEDED our fundraising goal and had a record-breaking 61 people in attendance! 🙌

It was a fantastic evening filled with:
🍺 Great brews
🧠 Fun & challenging trivia
🛍️ An exciting silent auction
❤️ And, most importantly, an amazing group of people coming together to support SafeHouse and the mission we serve.

A special thank you to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, volunteered, participated in the silent auction, and helped spread the word. Your generosity and support made this night possible!

We had a great time putting our trivia skills to the test while talking about SafeHouse’s Brews, Brains & Bids Trivia + Silent Auction Fundraiser happening TONIGHT!
