As part of Pelham’s America 250 celebration, we’re honoring our veterans with a special service project, and you’re invited to help.

Join us on Tuesday, April 28, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Pelham Public Library to create handmade gifts for veterans at the Birmingham VA Health Care System.

🧵 Open to ages 14 and up
🎁 Each participant will create a gift for a hospitalized veteran
❤️ Your handiwork will help bring cheer to local heroes this Memorial Day

This is a free, fun, and meaningful class, and a great way to give back while getting creative.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AMERICA! The City of Pelham is promoting patriotism and celebrating our country’s 250th birthday in many ways throughout 2026. As an America250AL city, our goal is to honor this great nation and our veterans throughout the year.
In this craft class, each participant will create a gift for a hospitalized veteran at the Birmingham VA Hospital. Your handiwork will help honor these local heroes on Memorial Day, so please join us for this FREE and fun class!

Renovations to our circulation desk begin on Monday! We will close at 5pm on Monday, March 30 and be closed all day Friday, April 3. Otherwise we will be open regular hours. During the renovation, we ask that you enter the library through the Makerspace Patio doors. We appreciate your patience during this exciting upgrade!
