Summer STEM Camps 2026 open for registration!
Build • Code • Create • Explore

Give your child an unforgettable summer of invention, creativity, and hands-on learning! Our engaging STEM camps combine electronics, robotics, coding, and engineering through exciting daily projects designed to inspire the next generation of makers.

Session 1 — July 13–17
Ages 6–8 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Circuit Makers -Let’s get creative with electricity. In this junior electronics camp, students gain hands-on experience designing and building their own electronic creations. Campers will make:
Light-up greeting cards, Electric games and mazes, Musical instruments, Interactive circuits using lights, buzzers, switches, motors, and sensors. Each day includes a fun circuitry lesson, Guided hands-on projects and a take-home creation students can proudly share at home. Our instructors help every participant build confidence while learning real engineering concepts through play and creativity.

Ages 8–10 | 12:45 PM – 3:45 PM
Robot Commanders - Discover how coding brings robots to life!
Through active, game-based activities, students learn the fundamentals of programming, debugging, and communicating with robotic devices. Using Sphero SPRK+ robots and Unruly Splats, campers will create Magic 8 Ball robots, Automated Red Light /
green Light games, Interactive relay races, Voting machines and guessing games and the arcade classic Pong. Students develop critical STEM skills while having fun with teamwork, coding challenges, and robotics exploration.

Session 2 — August 10–14
Ages 8–12 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Interactive Coding - Create games, stories, inventions, and more!
Students explore coding through Scratch, the MIT-developed programming platform used by millions of young creators worldwide. Campers then combine coding with Makey Makey invention kits to build exciting interactive projects using everyday objects. Projects may include musical instruments, custom game controllers, pressure sensors and interactive storytelling experiences No prior coding experience required.

Ages 8–13 | 12:45 PM – 3:45 PM
Hands-On Electronics- Where coding meets engineering! In today’s world of smart technology and AI, understanding both hardware and software gives young innovators a powerful advantage. This exciting camp introduces students to electronics and Arduino programming through engaging daily builds.
Campers will work with LEDs, speakers, sensors, programmable circuits, and kid-friendly coding tools. Each day students design, build, and code new interactive projects while developing practical engineering and programming skills they can build on for years to come.

🛹 Skateboard Camp is Back this Summer! 🛹
We’re excited to offer 2 camps to choose from with instructor David Welsh!
This program is perfect for kids ages 6–18 who are either brand new to skateboarding or just starting to build their skills. Campers will enjoy a mix of free skate time with peers and guided instruction, where they’ll learn new skills and practice fundamentals at their own pace.
📅 Camp Dates & Ages:
• July 13–16 | Ages 6–12
• July 20–23 | Ages 13–18
🕐 Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Monday–Thursday)
📍 Location: Lyons Park Skateboard Park

Summer Adult Fitness Classes now accepting registrations!
August classes with certified fitness trainer Alison Fournier featuring Total Body and Pilates!
Four Week Program! Mondays are Total Body Strength and Conditioning beginning at 6:30pm. Tuesdays are Pilates Fusion with two times available 5:30pm or 6:30pm. Classes run from August 3rd to August 25th at the Hobbs Community Center. $40 per person for each 4 week session.

Blacktop Basketball Registration is Open!
Kids ages 7 to 14. Evaluations begin week of June 15th. Games start the week of June 22nd. Four game weeks and one week for play offs and championship games - skipping July 4th week. All Games will be held at Dennis Lyon's Memorial Park. $65 per player
