Pekin Salvation Army 5K Run/Walk

Pekin Salvation Army 5K Run/Walk 5K Run/Walk Event supports the Pekin Salvation Army's Youth Programs and Activities. The need for these programs and activities in the local area is huge.

The Pekin Salvation Army will host it's 4th annual 5k run & walk on Saturday, May 4, 2013. All proceeds will benefit the Pekin Salvation Army's youth programs and activities. The Army's Child Care Center offers a safe, Christian environment for children. But we need your help. Register for our 5k and help make a difference in a child's life today! Check-in opens at 6:00 am

Coal Miners' Park is located at 300 S. Parkway, just south of Parkview Golf Course on Parkway Drive in Pekin. Entrance is located just across from Stadium Drive. Parking available at Coal Miners' Park and overflow parking is available on other side of Parkway Rd. Age Divisions
14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over

Awards (5k Run Only) for overall top Male and Female and for first three places for both Male and Female in the following age groups:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over. Packets will be available for pickup Thursday, May 2, and Friday, May 3, at the Pekin Salvation Army, 243 Derby St., Pekin, IL, (309) 346-3010. Official race timing and results will be conducted with the help of the Illinois Valley Striders. Awards and drawings will be handed out after the run/walk. Drink and snacks provided for participants. Run and Walk will be held rain or shine.

Several have inquired about the 2016 5K... We will not be holding the run in 2016, but will keep you informed if /when the run will be held again. Thank you for your continued support of the Pekin Salvation Army.

Tomorrow is the big day! Weather is looking great!

If you have pre-registered, stop by the main office at the Pekin Salvation Army today to pick up your packet or they will be available at the registration table before the run.

Check-in/Registration opens at 6am and the run begins at 7am.

Haven't registered yet? Don't let that stop you. Just come by the registration table between 6am and 7am and sign up. Cost is $20.
