At approximately 23:10 Jackson Township was dispatched to the area of voyles road and bearcreek for a motor vehicle crash. Due to the location clark county Borden Fire was dispatched. Jackson Township units arrived on scene and found one vehicle off the road approximately 400 feet on its side with multiple patients one needing extrication. Floyd County Highlander Fire was requested for assistance. Responding units included Tri Township Fire , Washington County Ems, Washington County Sheriff Department , Air methods, Furnish Towing and Indiana State Police.

This morning we were called for a vehicle stuck in flood waters on Old Palmyra Rd near the intersection of Dutch Creek. Upon arrival units discovered an individual in a tree with his vehicle completely submerged in fast moving water. Conservation officers was contacted for assistance but had a delayed response. Palmyra Fire and Highlander Fire was called to provide assistance. Once on scene Water rescue techs from Jackson, Palmyra and Highlander entered the water to preform the rescue. The driver was successfully rescued with no injuries. This was the fourth water rescue call of the morning. Thanks to Palmyra Fire, Highlander Fire, WCSD, WCEMS, EMA, and Conservation for all the assistance.

Jackson Township Fire Department was dispatched last night at approximately 23:15 to the area of the 1900 block of Dutch Creek road for a vehicle in high water. While on scene we were dispatched for three additional vehicles stuck in high water on Dutch Creek road. Thank you to Washington County Sheriff Department, Washington County EMS and Floyd County Highlander Fire for the assistance.

Yesterday Jackson Twp Fire Chief Nate Thompson had the privilege of the participating in the career fair at East Washington Middle School representing career side and promoting the Volunteer side of becoming a firefighter. Thank you EWMS for having me, it was fun!
