Celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month this September!

This September, The Field Library invites you to celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month and discover how a library card can hit all the right notes, no matter what your tastes are.

Beyond borrowing physical books, library cards provide access to museum passes, streaming media, such as e-books, magazines, audiobooks and movies or tv shows.

Established in 1987 by the American Library Association, this initiative promotes literacy and encourages exploration of library offerings.

This year’s theme, “A Library Card Hits All the Right Notes,” emphasizes that libraries cater to all ages and interests. Obtaining a library card is free and easy. No matter what rhythm you find yourself in, there’s a seat in the front row at the library for you!

The Destination Peekskill Shuttle will be transporting guests from the Neighborhood Center to the Riverfront starting at 5:30 pm tomorrow, August 21st.

New York Blood Center is coming to the Field Library on Thursday, August 20th from 1pm to 7pm.

For donating blood, donors will receive a coupon that could be redeemed for a “Brew” either a b**r, or a soft drink, or coffee, at participating locations.

Our library is a drop-off site for NEW school supplies for The Sharing Shelf's annual Back to School Drive!

From July 20 through August 10, you can help make a difference for local children and teens by donating new school supplies and backpacks.

Each year, The Sharing Shelf provides more than 1,500 Westchester children with a new backpack filled with grade-appropriate school supplies. Your generous donations will help ensure local students have the tools they need for a successful school year.

Thank you again for helping Westchester students head back to school ready to learn!
