We hosted our 5th annual 4th Grade Picnic with Hometown Hero's this past friday!

Each year the students recieve a small lesson on what Memorial Day is all about and have the opportunity to create some fantastic art work for the American Legion.

We would like to thank the Michigan State Police and the Elk Twp Fire Department for showing up and letting the kids explore your vehicles.

And a very Special Thank You to The Pines Peck American Legion for showing up every year with their vehicles and memorabilia and providing the lunch for the kids. And thank you for the stories you pass on to our youth.

Although Flight Care stole their attention (even we think helicopters are cool) the students were able to learn a valuable lesson in choice making. Elk Twp Fire, Peck Police Department, Sanilac EMS, Croswell EMS, Michigan State Police and Life Flight were able to demonstrate the resources available to our residents as well as the efficiency in their skill set. A special thanks to the Peck students that stepped up to be role players!

Good Afternoon,

Today at approximately 1:30pm you will notice several emergency vehicles at the Elementary school to include Police, EMS and Elk Twp Fire. There is no emergency, It is our annual 3rd Grade 911 class in which the students are taught how 911 works when they call as well as the opportunity to explore the emergency vehicles. Please refrain from using the circle drive at that time so we can ensure a safe lesson.

Thank you for your cooperation!
