Parent Resources Available Every Month!

The Atkinson County School System wants to make it easier for families to stay connected and support learning at home.

Each month, our Parent-Family Engagement webpage provides helpful newsletters for families of students at every grade level:

Early Childhood
Elementary School
Middle School
High School

Our monthly newsletters are available in English and Spanish and include helpful information, ideas, and strategies families can use throughout the school year.

We also provide Daily Learning Planners with a quick parent tip or activity for each day of the month. These simple ideas are designed to help families support learning, build good habits, encourage responsibility, and stay involved in their child’s education.

Whether you have a young child just beginning school or a student preparing for graduation, there is something available for your family.

We apologize for the late notification, but we want to make you aware of a social media trend regarding school safety that was brought to our attention late this evening.

Based on the initial information we have received, the trend appears to have originated in another state and has since been modified to reference our area. We have been in contact with local law enforcement this evening, and they are aware of the situation. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased law enforcement presence at our schools tomorrow.

At this time, we have not received any reports indicating that this message is circulating within our county. However, we ask that if you see or hear anything concerning, please report it immediately to school or district administration or local law enforcement.

While we do not want to create unnecessary alarm, we take every message or concern regarding school safety seriously. The safety of our students and staff remains our highest priority, and we appreciate the continued support and vigilance of our families and community
