We are sooooo excited to host our Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 10th at 6 pm. The interest and participation has been great this year. And there is absolutely no one better to lead the parade,as our Grand Marshall, than our very own local native and former Educator/Principal Mr. Tom Morris. Please come out and see how beautiful and fun filled this day will be. We are not accepting anymore entries at this time as we have reached our deadline. Here are a couple of reminders for our entries:
1. We will be meeting at the Old High School Ground.
2. Be there by 4:30 to line up and get decal. ( Also for judging)
3. Do not park on the paved strip (roadway) that we drive out on. Instead back up onto the grass (facing the paved roadway).

The City of Pearson will be hosting it’s Annual Christmas Parade on Saturday December 10th at 6 pm. We welcome all Floats, Vehicles, Atv’s, Motorcycles, Golf-carts and any other entries for the parade. Please stop by the Pearson Police Department and pick up an application. DEADLINE for entries is December 7th by 4pm. Please be respectful of the deadline. We are excited that each year the entries and fun has increased. Our theme this year is “A Gingerbread Christmas!” Can’t wait to see all the beautiful entries. There is NO ENTRY FEE! Our very on local native and former Principal Tom Morris will be the Grand Marshall.

We enjoyed seeing all the costumes and we loved how much the kids enjoyed themselves. Job well done. Thank you Pearson Elementary School for the invite.

We had great participation on last year and we anticipate it being bigger and better this year. If you would like to participate please stop by the Pearson Police Department and pick up an application. There is NO ENTRANCE fee. Our theme this year is ”A Gingerbread Christmas” We would love for the entries to reflect that theme. A public hearing to review and transmit the Joint 2023 Atkinson County and the Cities of Pearson and Willacoochee Comprehensive Plan Update to the Southern Georgia Regional Commission and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs for review will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 27th 2022 at the Atkinson County Commission Meeting Room, 86 Main Street South, Pearson Ga 31642. Residents are invited to attend and participate in the planning process. Copies of the Plan Update are available for public review at the County Commision office and at the City Hall of each city and for download at the website of each. Persons with special needs relating to disability access or foreign language should contact Atkinson County at (912) 422-3391.
