September 11th is a day of reflection for many. I've been reflecting on many things this year and I suppose the most important thing I've come to realize, especially in the past few days, is that life is fragile.
Just as I was taught that if you borrow someone's vehicle, you return it with more gas than it had when you picked it up or when you use public spaces, you leave them cleaner than when you arrived, I encourage you to do the same with your life.
Use the time that you have to enrich the lives of those around you. Make your community better today, with you in it, than it was before you arrived. Remember that please and thank you go a long way. A raging river is easily crossed with a bridge.
Live not to be remembered but to give others the opportunity to create cherished memories because you lived.
