Nicole "Nikki" Winder has been reported missing to the Brazos County Sheriff's Office (). She was last seen at approximately 3:00 pm on Wednesday February 25, 2026 in the 19000 blk of FM 974, Bryan, Brazos County, TX. She is 53 years old, 5'7", 130 lbs, blond hair, green eyes and was wearing a dark grey shirt and pink pants. If you have any information contact the Brazos County Sheriff's Office at (979) 361-4900.

It is with profound sadness that the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office announces that Deputy Lewis has succumbed to the injuries he sustained in the early morning accident on I-10 near Eldridge Road in Houston on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

As previously shared, Deputy Lewis was assisting a stranded motorist at approximately 3:40 a.m. when he was struck by a passing vehicle that fled the scene. He was transported to a local hospital, where medical staff worked tirelessly to save him.

Despite those efforts, Deputy Lewis passed away as a result of his injuries.

Deputy Lewis demonstrated the very best of law enforcement. His selflessness, dedication, and commitment to serving others reflect the core values of our office and the profession he proudly served.

We ask that you continue to keep Deputy Lewis’ family, friends, and our FBCSO family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

The incident remains under investigation by the Houston Police Department. Additional information, including service arrangements, will be shared when appropriate.
