The Town of Pearisburg is inviting Pearisburg businesses to join us for our first Business in the Burg Roundtable!

This will be an opportunity for local businesses to connect, hear Town updates, and share ideas, questions, and feedback about our business community.

Please join us in congratulating Robert Parks on his appointment to the Pearisburg Town Council!

Town Council recently appointed Robert to fill the unexpired term of office ending December 31, 2026. We are pleased to welcome him to Town Council and look forward to his service to the Town of Pearisburg and its residents.

Please take a moment to learn more about Robert below:

Robert Parks and his wife, Dorcas Parks, have been residents of the Town of Pearisburg for 25 Years. Both their children, Jackson and Madelyn, graduated from Giles High School, with Jackson currently studying Construction Engineering at Virginia Tech, and Madelyn studying Marketing at Radford University. Robert and Dorcas attend Pearisburg First United Methodist Church, where Robert chairs the SPRC committee and enjoys singing in the choir. Robert is a Vice President / Business Banker for Skyline National Bank, where he enjoys working with his customers to meet their financial needs. In his free time, Robert enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, fishing, and being at the beach.

Salary: $15,860-$17,220 ($15.55 - 16.88 per hour) based on qualifications and experience. This is a non-exempt position.

Join us for a special evening in partnership with Giles Community Garden and the Town of Pearisburg Beautification Committee for a Cut Flower & Arrangement Workshop!

🌷 Monday, September 21
🕡 6:00 PM
📍 Giles Community Garden, 529 Wenonah Ave, Pearisburg, VA 24134
💐 Cost: $25 per person
🌿 Limited to 12 participants

Spend an evening in the garden learning about cut flowers, floral arranging, and the history of our Community Garden. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the garden, the work that goes into maintaining it, and the Beautification Committee’s efforts to help keep our community growing and beautiful.

Then, get creative and make your own beautiful floral arrangement to take home! 💐

This is a great opportunity to learn something new, connect with others, enjoy an evening in the garden, and discover more about a special part of our community.

All proceeds will go toward supporting the Giles Community Garden.

Yesterday was a big day for the Town of Pearisburg!

We were excited to welcome Caleb Sowers to the team as a Public Works Technician.

Caleb jumped right in, joining his new colleagues in the Public Works Department as they repaired a small sinkhole on Mountain Lake Ave. He’s already making a difference in Pearisburg, and we’re excited to see all he’ll accomplish for our community throughout his career with the Town!

September 11 Remembrance Ceremony

Please join the Town of Pearisburg on Friday, September 11, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. as we gather in remembrance of the lives lost and the heroes who responded on that day in 2001.

The brief ceremony will be held in front of Pearisburg Town Hall, by the flagpole.

We invite community members to come together to reflect, remember, and pay respects on this 25th anniversary.

Light refreshments will be available during and after the event.
