This site has visiting hours from 8AM TO 6PM everyday. We appreciate people observing these hours no matter what season it is. Please don’t visit in the dark!! It is disturbing to the living in the area as well as the departed. Thank you!

Hey all, due to the fact we have found numerous times, human f***s and toilet paper piles by the entrance and by the gravesite we have decided to put up 24hr surveillance cameras. Please be respectful and take some dignity to find a better spot to go potty.

(Please remember this is on private property and we choose to keep this site open for all, but its disgusting when we have to deal with stuff like this!)

After Johnny Ringo's death in July, 1882, his reputation was described by the Tombstone Epitaph newspaper.

"Johnny Ringo, a noted desperado, and bitter enemy of the Earp and [Doc] Holliday party in the [recent] cowboy disturbances...was a desperate man in the extreme, an expert with the pistol, and a man without physical fear."

Unfortunately due to disrespectful people, we have found numerous times human f***s and trash inside and around the gravesite. If this continues we will be closing the gravesite to the public.

John Ringo July 13, 1882

Johnny was an American Old West Outlaw. Although the inquest seems to definitively call Ringo’s death a su***de, coroner’s juries in those days would oftern render a verdict rather than investigate. Several others who were able to view Ringo’s body before its burial have argued against the su***de verdict. John Ringo’s horse was found approximately 2 miles away with his boots still tied to the saddle. It is unlikely that anyone in this life will ever learn exactly what transpired in those final moments of his life. Was it a su***de? Or was he shot? You decide.

The property gate for the gravesite if clearly visible from the road. If you’re up for an adventure, you can visit the gravesite. It’s located on private property about 4-5 miles from Arizona HWY 181 (about an hour drive from Tombstone). It is not difficult to find. There are rules for visiting this property, so if your out this way, make sure you obey these rules so people can continue to venture the gravesite.
