LEAD Graduation at Bernardsville Middle School
On Tuesday, Detective Luke Tamburello and Bernardsville Police Department School Resource Officer Brown hosted the 8th Grade Law Enforcement Against Drugs (L.E.A.D.) graduation ceremony at Bernardsville Middle School.
L.E.A.D. is a nationally recognized, evidence-based program that teaches students important life skills to help them make responsible decisions, resist peer pressure, avoid drug and alcohol use, prevent bullying, and build healthy relationships. The program focuses on empowering young people with the tools they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom.
This year marked Detective Tamburello’s third year teaching the L.E.A.D. curriculum to both 5th and 8th grade students. Through classroom instruction, discussions, and interactive activities, students learned valuable lessons that will help guide them through the challenges of adolescence and beyond.
We would also like to recognize that many Peapack & Gladstone residents attend Bernardsville Middle School, making this program an important partnership that directly benefits our community’s youth.
Congratulations to all of the 8th grade graduates on completing the program. We wish you the best of luck as you continue your educational journey into high school!
