hooray! the transportation subsidy was maxed out around lunchtime yesterday, with a total of 112 yearly passes - new or renewed - and 96 monthly passes sold at the designated discount.

for those of you who are still holding yearly passes bought last year, rest assured that you are still on a list that guarantees you will be eligible for another yearly pass when it comes time for you to renew. if you find this to not be the case with your helpful CBL ticket agent, stand your ground and emphasize to them that this is not, in fact, the case for renewals. (obviously, you might want to choose the time to stand your ground wisely; i would not suggest any ground-standing 90 seconds before the departure of the 5:35 on friday night, for example.)

the PIC will begin considering new possibilities for the transportation budget once new members are elected in November. we encourage one and all to come out and sit in on the meetings, share your views with how the budget should be allocated for 2013, and to bring cookies.
