Congratulations, Rep. Hilton! We were grateful to have you join our August Thought Leaders Luncheon and help connect the important insights from our speakers to the practical question of how we can create healthier technology habits in our homes, schools and workplaces. Well deserved!

Incredibly honored to receive the 2026 Torchbearer Award from the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE) - Georgia’s largest association of educators for my work on cell phone free classrooms.

Together, we are building an environment where teachers can teach and students can learn free of distractions. Excited to watch grades, tests scores and student mental health improve over the coming months and years.

Today’s kindergarten students will never know a time when cell phones were a distraction in the classroom.

Join the Southwest Gwinnett Chamber for a very special Coffee Connection Spotlight hosted by Norcross Police Chief Bill Grogan at the brand-new Norcross Public Safety Building!

The state-of-the-art facility features a 2,600-square-foot community room, a 2,600-square-foot courtroom, a 1,600-square-foot Real Time Crime Center, an 850-square-foot fitness center, and a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/Defense Tactics training studio for officer training. The building also includes expanded space for mental health services, training rooms, and a flexible multipurpose indoor-outdoor gathering space for public events, meetings, recreational activities, and a basketball court — reflecting the city's goal of creating a welcoming civic hub that echoes the community's character.

Staff will guide members on an exclusive tour of the new headquarters and share how this transformational facility is helping the department continue its outstanding work.

We had an amazing Thursday Thought Leaders event today at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast! A heartfelt thank you to our speakers, Joey Odom, Dr. Grant Rivera, and State House Representative Scott Hilton, for their enlightening discussions on the negative impacts of technology on personal relationships and productivity. They provided us with invaluable strategies to be better role models for future generations in terms of responsible phone use.
