DID YOU KNOW?

Some of the magic that happens at Oak Grove starts with a group of moms, a little creativity, and a lot of origami.

Our Japanese moms generously volunteer their time to work with students through Synergy Squads--helping create experiences that encourage collaboration and creativity.

So when you support our FunRun, you’re not just helping us reach a number. You’re helping put supplies in the hands of students and volunteers who turn them into something beautiful and meaningful.

Our Oak Grove travelers have been completing Travel Missions and earning some seriously awesome prizes! Congratulations to all of our winners—and a HUGE THANK YOU to the amazing local businesses who donated prizes and helped make the adventure even more fun!

Not just any parent volunteer. Our "safety crew" included a legit stunt actor, stunt coordinator AND safety specialist—and yes, our principal was harnessed to the ladder.

TODAY’S TRAVEL CHALLENGE: (. . . and even a $1 donation can help you win!) Ask your donors when they’re making a donation to comment on the most famous person they’ve met on their travels. They’ll need to give us details that we can share on the morning announcements. A secret judge will determine a winner on Friday AM (9/11). The prize, courtesy of NCG Cinema, will be 2 movie tickets (including IMAX).

TODAY’S TRAVEL CHALLENGE: The two students to receive a donation from the two farthest US State from Georgia by Thursday (9/10) will win a prize valued at $60 courtesy of Pigtails and Crewcuts. This prize package includes one free haircut, hair products, and toys–afterall, you deserve a first-class style for this first-class adventure.

THE HONORABLE MENTIONS!

While Mr. McKnight has officially crowned our door decorating champions, there were simply too many creative entries not to recognize!

We had a flying eagle that had us feeling downright patriotic, doors that practically transported us somewhere else, and even a full-on bistro table set up in the hallway.

Our room parents definitely understood the assignment. . . and then some.
