The community gathered this morning at the Peabody Public Safety Memorial for a poignant ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks on our country.

Today and every day, we hold in our hearts the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11th, 2001, including the brave first responders that made the ultimate sacrifice. We also remember the three Peabody residents who lost their lives on that tragic day.

Peabody will continue to honor their legacy and ensure this day is never forgotten.

🍎🍏I am excited to invite Peabody's senior citizens to join me on Wednesday, September 16th from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Brooksby Farm for one of my favorite annual traditions: Senior Day.

This year's event has extra special meaning as Brooksby Farm celebrates its 50th anniversary of ownership by the City of Peabody.

Come for a complimentary lunch, dessert, and some delicious Brooksby Farm apple cider. Enjoy live entertainment, hayrides, tours of the historical properties, and time to shop in the farm store. Flu shots will also be available onsite.

To register for the Senior Day event, transportation, and/or flu shots, please RSVP to the Peabody Council on Aging at 978-531-2254.

If you would like to take advantage of free transportation from the Torigian Senior Center, please meet in the lobby by 9:00 AM.

Onsite parking at Brooksby Farm is also available in the field, which will be clearly marked for guests, and attendees will be bused to the event area.

Thank you to the Peabody Council on Aging and Brooksby Farm for making this beloved event possible year after year.
