WE DID IT!!! 💙🐾
We had ourselves an amazing morning officially opening our new playground. After a year and a half of uncertainties, brainstorming, fundraisers, and all the things in between, hundreds of kids will be able to enjoy this playground every day!
This project was made possible by:
• Our incredible West Memorial Playground Committee who has been there from the beginning coming up with ideas, putting in the elbow grease, and seeing things through together: Diana Mora Stuart, Cassandra Conley, Alexandra Molle, Jessica Fitzgerald Avola, Katie Hutchinson Plati, Kellye Greer, Lisa Hayes, Nicole Ruggiero Pagliarulo, Passos Director Danielle Peacock, Principal Julie Broughton, Assist. Principal Harolyn Fucile
• City of Peabody: Community Preservation Committee, City Council, Parks and Rec, Mayor Bettencourt, Dr. Vadala
• Our business and family sponsors: Stocker Oil, Peabody Police Union, Owens Insulation, Coast Maintenance Supply Company, Peabody Police Supervisors Association, Pediatric Health Care Associates, The Dormady Family, West School 2023 5th Grade Class, American Shoe Machinery Company, West Memorial PTO Inc., JB Thomas-Lahey Foundation, Salem Country Club, Kevin Winschel (Suds for Swings), Mrs. Fucile + Family, Maria + Joseph Cerqueira, Preowned Auto Logistics, The Zamakis Family through Cummings Properties, Lebel Signs
• Al Mantyla and Mantyla & Co., Inc. for donated sitework services
• Timothy Pesko at Childscapes
• Our continually supportive West Memorial Elementary School and Peabody communities who attended fundraisers, donated funds, provided input, spread the word, etc.
We wouldn’t be at the finish line today without all of your support!
We thank the Bormann Family for allowing us to designate our inclusive orbit as “Olivia’s Orbit” in recognition of Peabody’s Youth Spirit Award recipient and West School alum, Olivia Bormann, for her ongoing display of perseverance and positivism that sends the important message to keep pushing no matter what. 💪❤️
We are grateful to the Breckenridge Family for giving us the honor of dedicating our playground in loving memory of Officer Henry Breckenridge. Henry’s love of life and compassion for our youth will be carried on at this playground every day. When we see our kids smiling and having fun, we will see Henry smiling right back at all of us. 💙🖤
LET'S PLAY!!!!
