Xcel Energy has scheduled a planned overnight power outage needed to complete electric system improvements in the Paynesville area. The outage is scheduled for Friday, May 1, from approximately 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., with a backup date of Tuesday, May 5, from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., should weather or system conditions require rescheduling.

Approximately 750 customers will be affected, including portions of the City of Paynesville, Paynesville Township, and nearby businesses. Attached is a map showing the general area expected to be impacted. Please note, those who have phone numbers on file with Xcel Energy will receive automated phone calls 48 hours beforehand.

This work supports the safety and reliability of the electric system, and the overnight timing is intended to minimize impacts to the community. Customers are encouraged to plan accordingly and take steps to protect sensitive equipment during the outage window.
