Today is Peace Officers Memorial Day.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.

Thank you to the men and women who serve to protect us every day! We will never forget all those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe.

Congratulations to Officer Larkham and Rutland Ofc. Carpenter on earning the FBI LEEDA Trilogy Award completing three separate leadership courses. Ofc. Larkham joins Lt. Thorpe and Sgt. Recos in this distinguished accomplishment.

Congrats to Officer Brent Carpenter, who recently received the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award!

The Trilogy Award is a prestigious honor bestowed upon law enforcement professionals who complete all three of the FBI-Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA) core leadership courses: the Supervisor Leadership Institute (SLI), Command Leadership Institute (CLI), and Executive Leadership Institute (ELI).
