Hydrant Flushing begins September 8th

Town wide distribution system flushing activities are scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 8, and will continue for approximately 6 weeks. Flushing will occur Monday through Thursday, between the hours of 8am and 4pm. Unforeseen delays and emergencies may impact the flushing schedule and could change without notice.

During this time, you may experience periods of discolored or cloudy water and low water pressure and volume. If this occurs, it is suggested to use an outside spigot, cold water tub faucet or similar fixture to run for a few minutes to flush out your water service.

Reminder: No Signs on Town Common without Prior Approval
Recently we have seen a lot of signs on the Town Common. If you had a sign on the common without approval, please be advised they have been removed and are currently at the Town Hall. If you would like your sign back, please pick it up within 30 days. After 30 days we will dispose of the signs that were removed. It is the Town's Policy that a permit application must be submitted to the Select Board and approved before a sign may be placed there.

The Council on Aging, in partnership with CVS Pharmacy, will host its Annual Vaccination Clinic at the John Bauer Senior Center on Wednesday, September 30th from 10am-1pm and Saturday, October 3rd from 10am-1pm. CVS will administer seasonal flu shots including high dose vaccine for older adults, alongside Covid-19. The clinic is free for most insurance plans and Medicare. Please bring your photo ID and your medical insurance card. Open to all.

If you have not yet returned your vote-by-mail ballot for the State Primary, please leave it in the drop box at the Town Hall by 8pm tomorrow. Do not use the postal service at this time as we would not receive the ballot on time and it would be rejected if it is received after the deadline. Please see the link in the comments with more information regarding the upcoming Primary.

If you missed the vote by mail deadline you can still vote early at the Town Hall today or tomorrow between 10am-2pm or vote in person on Election Day, September 1st 7am-8pm at Paxton Center School.
