Final Brush Pickup of 2025 will be Monday, Oct. 27.

The last brush pickup of the year will be Monday, Oct 27. Brush pickup will begin on the northwest corner of the city at 7am and continue throughout the city until all the streets and alleys have been cleared. Residents are asked to stack their brush neatly next to the alley or street. Brush should not be placed in bags, and it must not hang over into the roadway. Leaves will not be picked up by the city.

The Illinois EPA requires us to put this out in order to inform the people. The City of Paxton water is BELOW EPA STANDARDS for lead and is safe for public consumption.

BRUSH PICK-UP NOTICE

The street department would like to remind residents of the following guidelines
- The City will NOT pick up leaves
- All Brush should be stacked/placed at least 5ft away from objects (buildings, vehicles, power poles, guide wires, trash cans/burn barrel, etc.)
- Please neatly stack piles within 5ft of road or alley to be picked up, NO BAGS!
- The brush MUST NOT BE HANGING OVER INTO THE ROADWAY, not only is this dangerous, but you could be FINED!
- Please do not stack piles on dirt or rock piles
- Grass clippings (bagged or not bagged), leaves, scrap wood, trash, or metal objects will NOT be picked up

By following these guidelines, you can ensure a smooth and efficient brush pick-up experience in Paxton. Thank you for your cooperation.

The City of Paxton will host two more Brush Pick-Ups this year, beginning September 22nd and October 27th
