This Saturday, Sept. 12, the Paw Paw High School Boys Tennis Team is once again hosting its "Rally Against Cancer" tournament, an annual charity event that raises awareness and support for the American Cancer Society. This tournament includes Hackett Catholic Prep, Lansing Catholic, Paw Paw and Traverse City St. Francis and will be played in a round-robin format with four flights of singles and four flights of doubles. Points will be awarded to each team based on their success in each flight.
A ninth flight will be based on donations made to the American Cancer Society in the name of your team and will count towards the overall team standings. “Together with our millions of supporters, the American Cancer Society (ACS) saves lives and creates a world with less cancer and more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well, by finding cures, and by fighting back.”
If you're interested in making a donation, there will be a donation table on tournament day at the PPHS tennis courts. Cash donations will be accepted and/or you can make checks payable to: Paw Paw Public Schools. Donations will also be accepted using the links below anytime up to 2 p.m. on tournament day.
